WHAT TO BRING

Like any other goal one may have, it is important to plan. Some items help people feel comfortable this is what can be brought, toiletries, are necessary, books, alarm clocks, swimsuits – can make the stay more pleasant. Typically, patients stay in our residential programs between 30 and 90 days.

Our guests are never alone during treatment. Staying in a residential program allows guests to be in a supportive, caring environment with people who are facing the same challenges they are. Additionally, guests are allowed to stay in touch with outside family members during their stay.

What to bring

  • One suitcase only
  • One carry-on bag, such as a backpack, purse or duffle bag
  • Enough clothing – including socks and underwear – for seven to 10
    days. Laundry facilities are available and are free to use
  • Personal hygiene items including bath soap, shampoo, deodorant,
    shaving equipment, toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Grooming items such as blow dryers and curling irons
  • Casual clothes
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Gym/yoga clothing and a swimsuit
  • Depending on season, cold weather clothing such as a jacket
  • An insurance card and your driver’s license, state ID card or social
    security card
  • Long pants for equine therapy
